Evolving as a brand and realising their now iconic aesthetic of simple, striking shapes, GUBI took its place at the forefront of international design thanks to its carefully curated range of high-quality furniture and lighting, handpicked from history and created in collaboration with esteemed designers and exciting up-and-coming names.

Bestlite BL1 Table Lamp
by Robert Dudley Best
{gallery blog-gallery-lcuy5vz1}First produced in 1930 by British designer Robert Dudley Best, the acclaimed Bestlite BL1 table lamp is as iconic today as it was almost a century ago. After spotting a Bestlite lamp in 1989, Jacob and Olsen Gubi resurrected the beloved icon as part of a stunning 13-piece collection, relaunched worldwide. A timeless piece of design history, the light is held in permanent collections at both the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London, counting Winston Churchill among its most famous users. The lamp was heavily influenced by Bauhaus aesthetics and has been kept true to its industrial roots: classic, minimalist and oozing a design tradition that fits both traditional and contemporary homes. Highly functional, highly adjustable and highly versatile, there is a Bestlite to suit every space.

Beetle Chair
by GamFratesi
{gallery blog-gallery-fmarqkfe}The iconic Beetle chair is one of the biggest success stories in contemporary furniture design. Part of an ongoing partnership between GUBI and design duo GamFratesi, the chair reflects a cross-cultural collaboration between Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi that beautifully marries into GUBI’s global design portfolio. Blending conceptual Italian design and Danish materiality, the Beetle chair was engineered to provide great comfort and a clever modular construction that protects and embraces. GamFratesi saw these elements in the hard shell and fragile interior of beetles, an homage reflected in the chair’s curvaceous shell and gently tapering legs. As a counter chair, lounge chair, meeting chair and the original dining chair, the Beetle’s mid-century aesthetics and clean, modern lines have limitless appeal.
