Design Icon: The Tired Man Lounge Chair

The Tired Man Lounge Chair by Audo Copenhagen was originally designed in 1935 by Flemming Lassen. The chair was created for the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition and is a significance part of the Danish design heritage, symbolising the epitome of relaxation and comfort.

Flemming described the chair as “as warm and snug as a polar bear cub in the arms of its mother.”

The Tired Man Lounge Chair was relaunched in 2015, the award-winning design is available in a huge range of beautiful upholstery including sheepskin which is a nod to the original design created back in 1935. The discreet legs are available in two wood finishes: natural or dark oiled oak and front brass casters for easy movement.
