An internationally recognised designer, David Trubridge has developed a world-wide reputation for his singular and beautiful range of furniture and lighting. Born and educated in England, David Trubridge trained as a naval architect, before establishing his own furniture studio and manufacturing facility in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.

His first major international breakthrough came at the 2001 Milan Furniture Fair when his now famous Body Raft was picked up for manufacture by Cappellini, the renowned Italian design brand. Since then, he has gone on to produce and sell furniture and lighting around the world. Recently, his Icarus installation was purchased by the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
