From creating the Static clock for Lorenz in 1960 to designing IBM's leading laptop line in the early 1990s, Sapper worked across disciplines to create the best of the best. His Tizio Lamp for Artemide, designed in 1972, was the first lamp for domestic use to use a halogen bulb. Its unique design meant that for the first time no cables were required as the low voltage current carried along the conducting arms of the lamp powered the bulb.
