Care for your Jill Square Chair Cushion is straightforward. For lighter soiling, you can vacuum, use a clothes roller, or hand dry after applying a sponge with lukewarm water. Regularly shake and air the sheepskin for optimal luster and shape, preferably on damp days. Avoid exposing the sheepskin to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
In the case of coarser soiling, sheepskins with a wool length of up to 35mm can be conveniently washed in the washing machine. Use a mild detergent (wool shampoo) with a pH value of 3.5 - 5.5, avoiding enzymes, phosphates, peroxides, alkalis, and bleaches. Soak coarser soiling in cold water before washing. Choose the wool program/30 degrees on the washing machine, ensuring ample water use. While spinning is acceptable, avoid tumble drying with heat. Skip bleach or conditioner. Either hang the sheepskin or dry it flat at room temperature. Work the skin while damp to maintain its flexibility, and never iron. Dry cleaning by a specialist is also an option. Again, avoid exposing the sheepskin to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
