PET Lamp is a project that combines the reuse of plastic bottles with selected traditional weaving techniques found in different corners of the world in order to create unique handmade lampshades.
The project was founded by designer Alvaro Catalan de Ocon after his experience in the Colombian Amazon in 2011 His mission is to make an attractive, desirable and contemporary object by taking care of a global problems - in this case, plastic waste and dying traditional weaving techniques.
A truly unique and individual project, PET Lamp aims to help the sustainability of our planet and bring back traditional weaving methods into the popular conscience.
